to the Funky Bunker website, where our aim is to provide you with all the information needed to get you to join in our brand of fun!

The Funky Bunker, the brainchild of a life long friend, George Webster, is more of a concept than a place. A concept based around a group of mature party people feeling comfortable enough to let loose, fling foot and…..smile.

Its musical format, tagged as Mixin’ up the flavour ‘n’ mixin’ up the vibe, enables a variety of dance music to be played - the likes of which is not widely available - with the best examples of music from genres such as Rare Groove, Jazz, 80’s Anthems, contemporary Soul, Soulful House and R&B all represented at the Funky Bunker.

As a result of the musical format and rotating DJ line up, the Funky Bunker experience is one that is always changing. We are willing to experiment and take chances, therefore pushing the boundaries of accepted convention. Our objective…always keep it fresh!

The Funky Bunker, although based in central London, is regularly attended by people from as far and wide as Ipswich, Cardiff, Brighton, Manchester, Scotland and Birmingham. As well as those renowned party animals throughout Essex. Originally designed for ‘the more experienced party people’ out there, as time goes on we are finding that our reputation for hosting parties that offer a great atmosphere in a safe environment is spreading to a wider audience.

Our parties are not held on a regular basis. Aligned to our objective of keep it fresh, we hold them… every now and again. We announce them via our extensive mailing list & texting database, Facebook, established music focused forums and of course this website.
